Satake Kuro is a roughly hammered chef knife santoku with a blade that is processed eight times, which gives extra sharpness. It has a hardness of approx 58 HRC. The long handle of burnt wood with bolster and shank end of 18/8 steel provides perfect grip, balance and stability.
