FDC is a folding double-sided sharpener from Fällkniven with a diamond on one side and a super-fine ceramic surface on the opposite side. The folding handle allows you to sharpen your knife without the risk of cutting yourself.
Even if a diamond blade is worn, it remains flat, which is a great advantage in the long run when sharpening a knife. In addition, diamond blades are quick in their action, and a new edge can be produced quickly. No oil or water is needed either.
The yellow surface is made of titanium aluminum nitride, which greatly extends the life of the blade.
You use the yellow diamond grit (25 micron) to shape a new, thinner edge, the white ceramic grit (9 micron) to polish the edge. You use the ceramic brow much more often than the diamond brow.
With the brow comes an instruction in English how to use it. For cleaning, use washing-up liquid and hot water. A regular eraser can also work on the ceramic brow. Like all diamond brows, this brow is a bit rough at first but gets better after a period of use. When, after many hundreds of sharpenings, the edge has become thick and difficult to get a good sharpness on, it is time to send the knife in for resharpening.
